This part is a must when mounting a scope on your Mauser 98 rifle. This safety is new, dull matte finished and ready to fit to your bolt shroud. This part also has a serrated bottom edge for positive operation, also has a short travel for easy thumb operation without hand movement. This safety operates on the left side of the shroud. It fits all large ring Mauser actions and may require minor fitting.
